Cacao Care

Cacao is a beautiful medicine. It's nutritiously dense & complex. When taken in its pure form it can be super uplifting. While it's safe to take Cacao, it's good to know a few scientific and nutritious factors about it to ensure a good experience for everyone.

The Nutrition

Cacao is one of the most nutritionally dense & complex superfoods. t's the #1 source of:

  • Antioxidants

  • Magnesium

  • Chromium

  • Manganese

  • Theobromine

And it's also extremely high in:

  • Iron

  • Anandamide

  • PEA

  • Neurotransmitter Inhibitors

About our Cacao

We are part of the global practitioners of Keith's Cacao. Arguably the best Ceremonial grade Cacao that exists. Definitely the best that I have known. And I have tried a few. Keith's commitment to a pure grade Cacao, ethical practices, its direct trade with farmers and his love & knowledge about Cacao is what we believe makes this product so much more powerful. It has the least amount of caffeine (less than a cup of decaf coffee) and highest amount of Theobromine.

About the Serving Dosage

Although we will not be serving Cacao in the high ceremonial dosage, you're more than welcome to take as much as you like while our supplies last. But always keep in mind your needs while you're listening to your body. The intention of our serving is to share this nutritious medicine and enhance our connectivity to ourselves and the gathering. While taking higher dosage is not always necessary, but if you feel like you need it, you're more than welcome to having more of it. But remember that Cacao is not a Psychedelic, but a Psychoactive. The best way to describe it, as Keith says: "Cacao takes you to the door, but will not push you through". It's true, it meets you where you are. And I strongly suggest that you listen to that.

Health Precautions

Cacao is safe. But it is a cardiovascular stimulant and high in MAO Inhibitors. It literally opens up your heart vessels and increases the dopamine & serotonin in your body. So if you're on heart medications or anti-depressants please reach out to your doctor for advice. If you do not have access to medical advice please reach out to us.

Pre-Ceremony Care

In order for the full-effect and best experience of Cacao, it's best that you follow our guidelines below. Although not required, it's just our suggestion for getting the most of the magic.

  • No caffeine intake for 6 hours before as it can be overstimulating

  • No mind-altering substances the day of the ceremony

  • No dairy products the day of the ceremony as it counteracts the benefits of Cacao

    • They slow down the absorption and counteract the antioxidant properties in Cacao

  • Fasting 2-3 hours before the ceremony for optimal experience. For low blood sugar eat or bring a snack

Post-Ceremony Care

Just a few points to keep us healthy after our gathering.

  • Drink lots of water

  • If nauseous, eat a few crackers and hydrate with electrolytes

  • For upset stomachs, natural active enzymes or activated charcoal is great.

  • Reflect on your experience, journal
