This is has been in making for a decade for me. It all started with just the Santur (known as Hammered Dulcimer in the west). Little did I know that when I started playing Santur just as a means to learn an instrument with a sound that has been in my ears since childhood, that it would turn it into a passion. Santur has always been in my life since I can remember. From the my aunt’s practices in her room, me standing behind her door and listening to Iranian classical concerts in Iran and myself picking up my first instrument when I was in my early 20s. It has thought me so much this instrument. Not just music, but so many things that I have integrated in my life. How to listen, how to be patient and how to express. Just to name a few. Now my collection has grown to a much more sophisticated set of toys, which has formed into a spaceship that just takes me to higher realms. And if you come along with the ride, you might just realize how it feels to just be lifted and fly.
Custom Crystal Bowl Set (8 bowls and going)
Bass Native American Flute
Mayan Harmony Double Chamber Flute
Santur
Koshi Chimes
Zenergy Chime
Rain Stick
Kenari Nut Shake
And many more…
The sound bowls are a customized set of 8 bowls which are tuned more specifically to the Classical Iranian dastgah of “Shur”. And yes, there’s also the quarter note bowl which is very unique to that region of the world and one of my favorite. The flutes have been an inspiration from a good friend of mine Rootflute who I met in Guatemala on a very transformational trip. And it has become an obsession. If I could afford it, I would buy all the flutes in the world. The rest, chimes, bells, shakers and etc are things that just show up on your path and become part of the necessity to create the experience that you imagine.
